Is Abercrombie & Fitch going out of business? Well, not
just yet, but they are close to it. Recent numbers have shown that the once
prosperous clothing store is in fact not so prosperous anymore. The chain,
along with Hollister, is dwindling in sales. The brand has decided to close
down 70 of its stores and will shut down another 180 of them by 2015. The
economy and failure to change their style along with the times, are a couple of
reasons that have been mentioned as probable causes to the slip in sales. My
personal opinion though is that half of that is such a joke and an offensive
one at that. I know that Abercrombie & Fitch is not about to blame the
economy on the reason why the are doing so badly. How dumb do they think the
consumer is? News Flash! The only reason they are going out of business is
because of how expensive their clothing is. It's the truth. They are charging
these ridiculous prices for basic run of the mill styles. On top of which, most
pieces are made in China.Sure the economy isn't great, but people will buy if
the product is worth the price and the price is appealing. Abercrombie and
Fitch has neither of these two factors right now. Sorry, but sexy half naked
models no longer phase a girl or a guy when they are on a budget and want to reinvent
their wardrobe. Shoppers now are savvy and strong willed. They want trendy
clothes for great prices and Abercrombie and Fitch no longer has this. What do
