Maria Serves Up Some Candy! (Maria Sharapova's Candy Line "Sugarpova" Launch at Henri Bendel)

Maria Sharapova (Photo By Lucky.com)
She is known for winning Tennis matches, her immense jewelry collection, and her trendy style on and off the court, but Maria Sharapova has once again made herself known for more than just her talents with a tennis racket.  Sharapova is now serving up candy rather than tennis balls. Yup that’s right. She is now the proud creator and owner of her new candy line “Sugarpova.” As Sharapova prepares for the upcoming US Open, she took a break from practice to swing into New York to promote the launch of her sweet treats at the always fabulous Henri Bendel, where the candies will be sold. As a huge crowd filled up the front and inside of the store Sharapova remained poised and full of smiles. Never a disappointment with how she looks, Sharapova stunned in a short David Koma Fall 2012 dress and cerulean blue heels. She accessorized her look with a red pout and soft bun. After being photographed outside, Sharapova moved inside to answer questions from the press.  The 2012 London Olympics Tennis Silver Medalist says that she has always had a “sweet tooth.” She also stated that although she has collaborated with many things, she has never owned something and wanted to be involved 100% of the way. Sugarpova features twelve types of wild candy, ranging from rainbow strips and tennis-ball gum balls, to sour jelly lips. Each candy comes with a creative name to cater to anyone finding themselves in the mood for a sugary delight. So if you are having cravings for some candy than maybe try either “Quirky,” “Flirty,” “Sporty,” or even “Smitten.” Either way, you can’t wrong, especially since one bag of this candy only has 5 grams of sugar and costs a cheaply as five dollars.  Now all she needs is some Oompa Loompas and her own chocolate factory and she will be set to go.  Want to buy some “Sugarpova” candy? Than check out your local Henri Bendel or try their website.

All Photos from here down were shot by me, Katie da Cruz. Enjoy! <3
