NYFW Coverage: Rachel Zoe Cancels Show

"I keep saying I'm going to cut back on styling, but it's hard to give up." This is usually the mindset of successful stylist turned designer, Rachel Zoe, but recently she has had to give up some fashion reigns after all.  Fashionista.com has just mentioned, that according to WWD, Zoe will in fact no longer be showcasing her line at this upcoming Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York. 

This will be the first time, since her debut as a designer in 2011, to cancel. Zoe has a perfectly good reason for pulling her runway showcase last minute though. The stylist/designer made the decision to stay home in California with her new son who was just born in December. 

She said, "While I look forward to New York Fashion Week each season, I’ve made the difficult decision to move our fall 2014 runway show from Feb. 13 in New York to a later date in Los Angeles. As a new mother, my newborn son is too young to travel with me and I’m unable to leave him for the amount of time required to appropriately prepare for the show in New York."

Therefore, for all you Zoe fanatics out there, don't fret just yet, because she will eventually debut her new line, just in Los Angeles instead. Which is quite brilliant, because it is rumored that her line will be 60's bohemian inspired. If that's the case, it is only fitting to have it in the same state as bohemian styled music festival, Coachella.
